TeeVee — Privacy Policy
Overview
TeeVee (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is an IPTV / streaming client. It plays live channels, movies, and series from a streaming service you provide and configure (an Xtream Codes account or an M3U playlist). TeeVee does not host, provide, curate, or sell any media content of its own.
You can use TeeVee without an account. Creating an account is optional and only enables syncing your provider configuration across your devices.
Information we collect
If you create an account (optional):
- Email address — to create and sign in to your account.
- Account identifier — a unique user ID assigned by our authentication provider.
- Name and selected plan — what you enter when signing up.
- Your streaming provider configuration — the server URL, username, password, and/or playlist URL for your own IPTV service, so it can sync to your other signed-in devices.
Without an account (guest use): we collect nothing on our servers. Your provider configuration is stored only on your device.
Stored only on your device (never sent to our servers): provider credentials are kept in the device Keychain; watch progress, search history, and app settings.
We do NOT collect: advertising identifiers (IDFA), location, contacts, or analytics. TeeVee contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites.
How we use information
- To provide the app’s functionality: signing you in and syncing your provider list across your signed-in devices.
- We do not use your information for advertising or tracking, and we do not sell it.
Third parties
- Supabase (our backend / authentication provider) stores your account and synced provider list on our behalf. Access is restricted to your own account via per-user row-level security.
- TMDB (The Movie Database) — to show artwork and descriptions, TeeVee sends title queries to TMDB. No account or personal information is sent.
- Your IPTV provider — TeeVee connects to the streaming server you configure. That service is operated by a third party you choose and is governed by its own policies; we do not control it or its content.
Data retention and deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your account and your synced provider list from our servers. On-device data is removed when you delete the app or clear it from within Settings.
Children
TeeVee is rated 17+ and is not directed to children.
Security
Account data is transmitted over HTTPS. Provider credentials are stored in the device Keychain. Server-side data is protected by per-user access controls.
Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date above will change accordingly.
